To Do

 

  • After user registers (no addresses), the system uses his profile address and it overwrites his ad address. This happens first time only
  • Verify: change category does not work on editad.aspx... maybe Ajax causing? 
  • Add Map dialog next to State with graphical state selection
  • Show map on the main page
  • Fix design issues, check pages using HTML validator. Fix ShowAd.aspx fonts and layout... Move content more to the left, closer to the picture
  • Add RSS feed to each category on search.aspx and results
  • Hide address info on ShowAd.aspx. On Registration show only Country, City, State, Zip. Same on Edit/Post Ad, add show more details link to show more detailed info...
  • Add Ad expiration notification subsystem - http://forums.asp.net/t/1034790.aspx
  • Add language selection - internationalization. Each ad will have language field. It will be set by default to the current language. Once language is selected it will only show ads in that language.
  • Do marketing via slickdeals.net and buy email marketing. Compose customer letter (newsletter).
  •  Add search box to categories, so users can find category easily

  • When viewing hotel ad and click picture, it switches to regular ad view. It is not showing tabs anymore
  • When editing ad, click change category. It does not do anything first time. User has to click change category again...
  • When browsing ad and clicking on "Other ads by". It does not show ads if user posting ad is in different country than the user looking at the website. We should show his ads in this case and ignore location.
  • Manage Activations & Deletions link not working in admin
  • Do not allow the same Email during registration
  • Add feature of banned users based on IP
  • Source for New ads should be the same as source for ShowAd -> GetAdByID, it generates error
  • Problem: When user does not complete the last step (address verify) and the user post ads, the data will become corrupted. The only way to fix it is by executing sp_fixuser procedure
